NW Resiliency Project (NWRP) is a community-rooted initiative dedicated to equipping students, athletes, coaches, and families with the tools they need to build mental resilience and seek support before crisis hits. We exist to break the silence around mental health, reduce stigma, and ensure that every individual feels seen, supported, and empowered.
Our work began in response to a series of devastating losses by suicide within the Lakeridge High School community. Over the course of four years, four lives were lost, including both students and coaches. Faced with repeated heartbreak and a lack of timely institutional support, two moms turned their grief into purpose. What began as a local grassroots effort has grown into a respected community-based organization focused on proactive mental health support and education.
Today, NWRP delivers peer-led programs, school-based mental health education, family support initiatives, and resilience training tailored to the unique needs of youth and those who support them. While we remain deeply committed to our local community, we’re also proud to partner with organizations on broader initiatives, such as the national 100 Reasons to Stay Alive campaign, bringing our experience and passion to a shared mission of prevention and hope.
We believe mental health should never be an afterthought. Through connection, education, and early intervention, we strive to build communities where no one has to struggle alone, and where every young person knows they have a future worth staying for.
