Healing Through Football: KATU Highlights Lineman Mental Health Camp
This powerful event, held in Lake Oswego, brought together student-athletes, families, and mental health advocates for more than just football drills. The Lineman Camp, hosted by EForce Sports in partnership with the NW Resiliency Project, was created to honor the lives of James and Zeke, two former students who tragically died by suicide.
The camp combined high-level athletic training with critical conversations around mental health, grief, and resiliency. Coaches and mental health professionals worked side by side to challenge stigma and equip young athletes with tools to care for themselves and each other—on and off the field.
KPTV Covers Lineman Camp Honoring James and Zeke with Mental Health Focus
In partnership with EForce Sports and the NW Resiliency Project, this inaugural Lineman Camp in Lake Oswego brought together 7th–12th grade athletes for a weekend of elite training and life-saving conversations. What started as a skills camp became a platform for something much deeper, mental health awareness, connection, and hope.
Held in honor of James and Zeke, two beloved young men lost too soon, this event empowered players to prioritize their well-being just as much as their performance. With support from local families, coaches, and mental health advocates, the camp is part of a growing movement to normalize mental health conversations in youth sports and beyond.
